Obama 08

On Thursday August 28, 2008 Barack Obama gave his acceptance speech at Invesco Field for the democratic party. 80,000 people attended and millions viewed in. Obama addressed the American people. The focal point of the speech was reform. Obama calls upon America to make reforms in: the government, rid the addiction of non renewable fuels, create jobs, better the economy, education, foreign affairs, health care, and equality for all Americans be that gender, orientation, or economic stance. As the next president, Obama promises change and revision in all of these areas and more.
In the speech Obama added stories about his mother, grandmother and grandfather. The audience connected emotionally with these stories. Some even cried. The crowd was energetic through their cheers and applause. Obama's audience gave his speech power and inspiration. They were extremely supportive and ready to vote for change. Obama delivered an amazing speech giving hope to all Americans; including me.

Educational vs. Non Educational Text

A text can be anything that makes us think, makes us feel or sends a message. A text can be anything from: clothing, logos, books, anything on the internet, movies, radio, art, music, tv, commercials, and everything we see. In order to function in society or perhaps in general, we must be able to think, feel, and send messages to others. To feel, think, and or to send a message we have to process information.
I believe everything is educational text. There is no such thing as a non educational text. Everthing makes us think, feel or sends a message. Even if the message is small or may seem insignificant, it still makes us react in some way
