Zephyr is my kitty cat. I have had her for about a year and a half. I got her from a lady who's cat just gave birth to a litter kittens. She wanted to give all of the kittens away. The lady lived a few houses down from my parents. One day I went over to have a look at the kittens with no intent to keep one. While I was there she told me that the kittens were ready to leave their mother. All of them were gray with black stripes except one. This one exception was black. This black kitten crawled into my lap and started to lick me. I fell head over heals in love! The lady told me to take her home. How could I say "no" to such a sweet little kitty? So I took her. On the way home we stopped and got her food and a litter box.
Since the first day I brought her home she slept with me in my bed. She will snuggle with me every morning. I have to admit she is not the easiest cat ever. She sometimes attacks and when she does she will draw blood. She is mean to everyone but she knows me and rarely attacks me . If she does attack me its mostly because I provoked her. With strangers she is horrible. I think she is bad because she gets scared. Also one day she ate one of my hair ties and had to get emergency surgery. It was exspensive! I didn't have the heart to put her down. I loved that cat way too much to let her go. She has become part of my family.
The sweetest thing I ever saw was when Ashley brought home two hampster. Zephyr thought they were her kittens. She baths them and watches them. It's so cute. We joke about Zeph being a mother. Zephyr even knows when I'm sad. She will come and snuggle up near me. A few times she licked the tears form my eyes. That was kind of odd but it was still really sweet.
Sometime she is mean and sometimes she is really sweet but no matter what I will always love that crazy cat.
