Outside
Today I took a walk around Kendric's lake with my mother and sister. It was beautiful outside. The leaves are beginning to change suit. I love it. All of the colors, reds, yellows, oranges, and a few green patches still trying to hang on. The air is chilly giving hints that winter is near. The birds rest in the trees for a few minutes before departing with their flocks, further North for warmer weather. The lake is desolate. We were the only people there. In the background the sound of cars rush road was proof that life still exists which I hardly notice because we were deep in conversation. The lake with its lazy waves looked colder than ice. I even felt concerned for the fish! Soon winter will be here. The trees will no longer have leaves and the colors will become just a memory until next fall. The lake will be frozen and the ground will be blanketed with snow. The who inhabited the trees birds will be gone without even a trace that they too once lived here. Then it will become too cold even for us to come. Kendric's lake will become barren and forgotten by all until the spring. But for now the lake is ours, peaceful and still full of color. I cant wait for the spring when outside becomes alive again.
