Happy Holidays!

Tomorrow is Eid! Today is the last day of Ramadan! For those who don't know these days are important holidays for Muslims. Eid is the day after Ramadan in which we can eat and drink and enjoy all day! I fasted through the whole month of Ramadan. During Ramadan we did not eat or drink while the sun is up. That doesn't sound too hard but trust me it is very difficult. If you don't take my word for it, give it a try for a few days and I promise you will see that it takes a lot of self control! Every morning we stopped eating and drinking at around 4 a.m. everyday. Then we could not eat or drink again until the sun went down. The sun would set anywhere from 8p.m. to 6:48 p.m. After the first few days you stop feeling so hungry but you are extremely thirsty and tired. However at the end of each day you have a rewarding feeling and you also feel as if you are a part of something bigger! I'm sad that Ramadan is over but I'm also excited for Eid!
